An easy-to-read article will encourage people to read carefully and learn more about you. This is also a criterion that SEs use to determine the appeal of your article. Our Flesch core will determine the difficulty level of the content in your articles. How do we compute the Flesch readability score? Why is this score essential in SEO?

Let’s find out the answers and important knowledge about SEO in the brief text below regarding Flesch core.

Why is readability important for SEO?

It’s unclear whether readability is an evident ranking criteria. So we don’t know if Google’s algorithm includes a ranking criteria such as the Flesch score (or a comparable variation). Either way, from a holistic SEO approach, readability is a highly significant component.

If your writing is too tough to read, your readers will struggle to understand it. This can make them afraid and lead them to seek knowledge elsewhere. A difficult-to-read post will result in a high bounce rate, which will damage your website’s long-term rating. So, make sure your post is nicely written and not too difficult to read.

Why readability is important for SEO

What does the Flesch legibility test measure?

Flesch readability assesses the complexity of an English text. Since the introduction of SEO 3. 5, we have also provided trustworthy scores in Dutch and German.

The lower the score, the more difficult the material is to read. The Flesch Readability Score is calculated using an equation that considers sentence length (words per sentence) and syllables per word. Texts with extraordinarily high Flesch readability scores (about 100) will be incredibly easy to read. These texts will have brief sentences with no more than two syllables per word. For online material, a readability score of 60-70 is regarded standard or acceptable.
